It was narrated that Saad bin Ubadah said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what charity is best?' He said: 'Giving water to drink.'" (Sunan ibn Majah)
In many poverty stricken areas, such as the villages we work in, in India and in Bangladesh, people do not have access to clean water or adequate sanitation facilities.
A lack of access to clean drinking water and basic sanitation is the cause of death for many vulnerable people, especially children and women. Water and sanitation are essential to survive and are a basic human need.
A number of innovative interventions have been undertaken by Al Hasanaat Foundation to improve the water supply system and hygiene by installing hand pumps, deep water wells, building of washrooms in houses and school sanitation. To further improve the water and sanitation system for those in need we rely on your generous contributions. Donate towards the cost of a hand water pump or a deep water well today.
A hand water pump costs just £150. Alhamdulillah, with your kind donations we have installed over 500 hand water pumps in rural areas of India – Bihar, West Bengal, Haryana, Rajasthan and Pakistan.
Donate a hand water pump for just £150 and change a family’s life today. A water pump can be donated as a form of Sadaqah Jariah.
Deep Water Well
A deep water well costs £1,500 to install in some of the poorest communities we support and is a life changing necessity for a village.
